This Privacy Policy explains how Green Dot Home Services (“Green Dot,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit greendothvac.com (the “Site”) or contact us through it.

You may give us this information when you fill out a form on the Site, request a quote or service, schedule an appointment, call us, or text us.

  • Information about how you use the Site, such as the pages you view and how you arrived at them
  • Approximate location based on your IP address

Do-Not-Track. Our systems do not currently respond to “Do-Not-Track” signals from your browser.

Text Messaging

If you opt in, we may send text messages to the mobile number you give us, and we may use automated technology to send them. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of text messages at any time by contacting us at info@greendothvac.com.

We do not share text message opt-in data or consent with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may share it, along with other information needed to deliver messages, with service providers that help us send them, such as messaging platforms and phone carriers.

How Long We Keep Information

We may keep information for as long as we need it to provide our services, run our business, communicate with you, resolve disputes, or meet legal and contractual obligations. When we no longer need it, we will delete or anonymize it where required.

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The Site is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from or about them.

  • The business name is set to Green Dot Home Services in the intro and in Contact Us. If that isn’t your exact legal entity, change it in both places. I don’t know it: the logo says Green Dot Home Services and Chris’s signature says Green Dot Heating & Air.

Confirm these are true

  • Text opt-in data is not shared with third parties for their own marketing. I kept this promise from your original policy.
  • Your texts and marketing emails have an opt-out path. If your texts say “reply STOP,” add “or by replying STOP” to Text Messaging. I left it out because I can’t confirm it.

What I cut from the original, and why

  • Gender, age, and date of birth: I can’t confirm any form asks for them.
  • Call recording: I can’t confirm you record calls.
  • “App,” AdWords, and remarketing language: I can’t confirm what you run.
  • International data transfers, including the EU: I can’t confirm where your vendors store data.
  • Terms of Use reference, parent and affiliate sharing, accounts and payments, and autofill: I can’t confirm any of them apply.

  • Call recording: “Some calls may be recorded or transcribed for quality assurance, training, and analytics. We will tell you at the start of a call if it is being recorded.” Only add it if callers actually hear a notice.
  • Remarketing: “We may use remarketing services, including from Google and Meta, to show ads to people who have visited the Site. These providers use cookies to show ads based on past visits.” Only add it if you run remarketing.

After you publish

  • Load the live page on greendothvac.com and confirm the new text and email show up, not the staging address.
  • I’m not a lawyer, and I didn’t add state-specific privacy rights sections because I can’t tell which laws apply to your customers. Have a lawyer look it over if Chris wants it airtight.
